Schmura & Helou: The Voice and Trauma Poster
In honor of the 2023 World Voice Day theme “Your Voice Matters,” VT member Erin Schmura and Dr. Leah Helou offer to you an info poster (see below) on the topic of the voice and trauma. This poster was created to help facilitate reflection and conversation between clients and practitioners about the impacts of a person’s traumatic experience(s) and the possible implications for their voice. We are excited to share this poster with voice practitioners and offer the high-resolution PDF for free. However, we welcome any donations to fund professional development opportunities for MA-SLP Concentration in Voice students at the University of Pittsburgh.
